Kerala records 55,475 COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, 70 deaths

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 55,475 COVID-19 cases on Tuesday. Among these, 51,547 persons developed the disease through contact, including 3373 cases without an identified source of infection. 139 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 506 health workers contracted the disease on Tuesday.

30,226 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 2,85,365 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 70 deaths due to the virus on Tuesday with the toll rising to 52,141.

Ernakulam 9405, Thiruvananthapuram 8606, Thrissur 5520, Kollam 4452, Kozhikode 4432, Kottayam 3672, Palakkad 3550, Malappuram 3138, Kannur 2578, Alappuzha 2561, Idukki 2452, Pathanamthitta 2311, Kasaragod 1728, Wayanad 1070.
