THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The dispute between the government and the Vice Chancellor of the University of Kerala, which has been going on for days, has reached a consensus. Minister R Bindu announced in a press conference that a consensus has been reached with Vice Chancellor Dr. Mohanan Kunnummal. The minister also said that a syndicate will be called to resolve the issue. The minister hinted that there may be consensus discussions before the syndicate. The VC demanded a solution to the dispute, so he agreed to call the syndicate. Meanwhile, the minister did not give a clear answer to the question whether Registrar KS Anilkumar would participate in the syndicate meeting.

Vice Chancellor Mohanan Kunnummal had earlier met Minister R. Bindu at her official residence for consensus talks. The visit was at the invitation of the minister. The meeting lasted for about half an hour. Reports had also emerged that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan would meet the Chancellor-Governor in the coming days.
