THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former minister K T Jaleel levelled serious allegation against P K Kunhalikutty. Jaleel alleged that Kunhalikutty laundered crores of rupees under the cover of worship places. He said this while speaking to the media in the media room of the assembly.
Kunhalikutty told media that there are major irregularities in the financial dealings of Kunhalikutty and his son and will lodge a complaint to the ED seeking a probe. He said Panakkad Hyderali Thangal was questioned by the enforcement directorate and released the documents of the ED notice. He said Kunhalikutty is solely responsible for it.
When the concept of Kerala Bank was formed by merging co-operative banks in the state, the remaining 13 districts of Kerala merged into it. However, only Malappuram district stood aside and this was evidence of black money transactions. Majority of the co-operative banks in the district are ruled by either Congress or League, he said.
