THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Relief camps have been opened in the affected areas in the wake of incessant rains that have been lashing the state. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan directed the authorities to ensure that the relief camps function by adhering to Covid norms.

'Those in the camps should wear masks and maintain social distancing. People should not interact in groups in the camps. Officials have been directed to ascertain how many people can be accommodated in a camp. Collectors of various districts have been directed to increase the number of camps if more people have to be accommodated,' the CM wrote on his Facebook page.
