Ninth-grader siphons off Rs 3 lakh from mother's account to play online game

free-fire

ALUVA: A ninth grader played an online game for a month and a half and spent around Rs 3 lakh from his mother's account!

This was found during an investigation into a complaint lodged by the mother with the Rural SP regarding the loss of money. The Aluva native boy used his mother's account to play 'Free Fire. He used to spend between Rs 40 and Rs 4,000 on the game, which he did up to 10 times a day and 225 times in May and June.

When the mother checked the account, she noticed that the money was often lost. The complaint was then filed. By the time the parents found out about the incident, a huge amount had been lost.

There are also children who buy phones from their parents and make online purchases. The message that the money has been debited from the account will be erased before returning the phone. A son of another complainant was also the villain in another incident where money was lost from the account.

Awareness will be conducted

"There have been many complaints about the online game. Awareness programs on the subject will begin next week",
-Rural SP K Karthik
