No ministerial berth for K K Shailaja, second term only for CM, others all new faces

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: There is no ministerial berth for K K Shailaja in the second Pinarayi Government. The party decided to keep away all ministers including senior central committee member Shailaja through an unexpected decision.

Her way to the cabinet was closed after the decision of a new team except Pinarayi was approved. This was an unexpected twist. Shailaja was the most popular minister in the government and earlier the decision was to retain only Shailaja.

After Gouri Amma and Susheela Gopalan, Shailaja was the best woman leader in the CPM. The unexpected decision was at a time when Shailaja was confirmed as the health minister in the second Pinarayi government by all parties, supporters and fellow travellers.
