THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Saturday said that no one in the state should be deprived of food or treatment due to the lockdown and that the ward committees should prepare a list of those who may be starving.

"Medication and essential items should be delivered to those who need them at the lockdown. Ward committees should prepare a list of those who may be starving. If there are any beggars in certain areas they should be assured of food. An approach that ensures food for all must be adopted." the CM said.

"Many homeless people are living in cities and other places. We need to make sure that such people get food. Those people can be served food through Janakeeya hotels and community kitchens," he added.

The CM also said that special attention should be paid to the tribal areas. Special attention should also be paid to the migrant workers.
