KOCHI: The trial court has inquired that what was the basis of the prosecution's argument that Dileep, the accused in the actress assault case, tried to influence the trial court. Judge Honey M Varghese asked this question in the verdict that rejects the prosecution's plea to cancel Dileep's bail.

The prosecution produced two audio recordings as evidence. One is a conversation between Dileep and lawyer Sujesh Menon. The conversation in the recording raised many assumptions which was not supported by facts. Another evidence is the voice recording on Dileep's phone. The judgment also states that the court cannot impose the liability on Dileep without proving what Dileep has to do with this audio recording. The allegation of influencing the witnesses was also rejected.
