KOLLAM: Suja, mother of Midhun, who was electrocuted near his school premises on Thursday, reached home in Vilanthara in Kollam to pay her last respects. Suja reached her home in Kollam at around 2 pm on Saturday.

Suja, accompanied by two family members, nearly collapsed on seeing her son lying motionless in the freezer box. Heartbreaking scenes ensued after Suja broke down and wailed uncontrollably, joined by others from the family. It took much effort from family members to move her from the area.

Suja arrived at the Nedumbassery airport from Kuwait at around 9 am this morning and was received by her bereaved husband Manu, and their younger son Sujin.

Suja went to work as a home nurse in Kuwait to help her family come out of poverty. However, all hopes were dashed as the heartbroken mother had to return home immediately after learning about her son’s tragic death while playing near school on Thursday.

Meanwhile, hundreds thronged into Midhun’s residence in Vilanthara to pay final respects.
