Pinarayi reaches capital city with family; hectic discussions for new cabinet

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan reached the capital city after the historic electoral victory. He returned to the capital city from Kannur along with his family. Ministers K K Shailaja E P Jayarajan and leaders including M V Govindan accompanied the chief minister.

Pinarayi arrived in the capital city after the LDF’s unprecedented historic win. The LDF's victory this time is less than a century but is more successful than it was in 2016. Many districts fearing setbacks have won easily.

The last meeting of the present cabinet will be held in the morning. After that, the chief minister will go to the Raj Bhavan and submit his resignation. The new cabinet is expected to have senior leaders’ M V Govindan, K N Balagopal, P Rajeev and K Radhakrishnan. A decision will be taken by the CPM state secretariat tomorrow.
