THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Tuesday met Governor Arif Mohammad Khan and presented a claim to form the government. Preparations for the swearing-in ceremony were also discussed at the meeting. There are indications that the venue of the swearing-in ceremony might be changed if the COVID-19 surge intensifies.

No final decision has been made regarding the change of venue. It is learnt that Tagore theatre and the Jimmy George Stadium are also being considered as venues.

The Indian Medical Association has stated that the government should set an example by taking the oath virtually. Meanwhile, preparations for the swearing-in ceremony are almost complete at the central stadium.
