Police pass required to go out, infection in home likely, directives to interact with neighbours

lockdown

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said in a press conference that a police pass is required to go out for essentials during the lockdown phase. Interstate travelers are required to register with the Covid Jagratha portal. Or they have to stay in the quarantine for 14 days at their own expense, the CM said.

The Chief Minister also warned that in the current scenario, there is a high risk of infection in the home. One can get infected from those going out and from neighbours. Public spaces inside the house should be reduced,. It is best to eat, watch TV, or pray alone or in a separate room. Double mask is mandatory when interacting with neighbours. If you receive anything from them, wash your hands. Adults who go out should avoid close contact with children after returning. Windows should be left open to ensure ventilation in the home. The CM also suggested that the dishes should be washed thoroughly after eating.
