Rains to continue in Kerala due to severe low pressure in Bay of Bengal, yellow alert in 12 districts

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Heavy rains are likely to continue in the state for the next two days due to severe low pressure in the south-western Bay of Bengal, the Met office said. The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert in 12 districts of Kerala for three days.

On 18-Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur, Kasaragod.

Tomorrow-Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur, Kasaragod.

On 22- Pathanamthitta, Idukki, Palakkad, Malappuram and Wayanad.

The possibility of isolated heavy rains is likely. The severe low pressure in Bay of Bengal is predicted to turn into extremely severe low pressure and move in the west/north-west direction and enter the shore near Chennai at north Tamil Nadu-south Andhra Pradesh coast on Friday morning.
