Rajya Sabha by-polls on Nov 29, Jose faction likely to get seat, Jose K Mani not in fray

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Rajya Sabha by-polls will be held on November 29. The polls are held on the seat resigned by Jose K Mani. The counting of votes will take place on the same day itself. Jose faction is likely to get the seat.

Jose K Mani has informed that he is not in the fray. Many including Stephen George are under consideration. The notification will be issued on November 9. The nomination papers should be filed on November 16. Jose had resigned on January 11before completing his term. The move was following a change of front. The term of the by-election is till July 1, 2024.
