Suresh Gopi visits mayor, offers Rs one core for development of Sakthan Market

THRISSUR: Actor and Suresh Gopi MP visited Thrissur mayor M K Varghese. His visit was in connection with the development of Sakthan Market. The mayor told the actor that he has a detailed master plan in mind regarding the market and will give a plan before November 15.

Suresh Gopi reached the district to fulfil the promise on the development of the market made during election time. The actor had promised Rs one crore. His promise was that the money would be given either from his MP fund or family trust.

He will give Rs 50 lakh each to the vegetable and meat markets. The mayor said a comprehensive development is planned after taking over 36 acres of land in Sakthan. It envisioned a powerful development at a cost of Rs 700 crore. Suresh Gopi was accompanied by BJP leaders and councillors during the talks held.
