Tanker lorry overturns at Thamarassery pass; huge traffic congestion

KOZHIKODE: A tanker lorry overturned at Thamarassery pass. The lorry overturned at the sixth bend of the pass around 5 pm today. The lorry was empty as it was going to load the chemical.

The lorry had Tamil Nadu registration. Huge traffic congestion is being caused in the pass for about two hours. The driver, a native of Tamil Nadu, escaped unhurt. Police, fire force and the pass protection committee are allowing the passage of vehicles through one side. Attempts have been made to lift the lorry.
