THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: It is reported that a group was present with the 13-year-old girl who went missing from Kazhakoottam when she was found on the train. The group claimed that it was their child when representatives of the Malayali Association tried to rescue the girl.

The 13-year-old girl was with a group of men in the general compartment at the front of the Bengal-bound train from Tambaram. They retreated when the Malayali Association representatives questioned them further. A Kerala police team headed by women police of Kazhakoottam police station has been sent to Visakhapatnam to bring the child to Kerala. The group left from Veli railway station by Korba train. Four people, including woman police, are going to bring the child back.
The girl, who went missing after leaving her home the other day, was found in Visakhapatnam after 37 hours of searching. The child is now under police custody. After the medical examination, the child needs to be brought to Kerala as soon as possible and produced before the magistrate. After that, she will be released to her relatives.

The girl missing was Thasmith Thamsi, eldest daughter of Anwar Hussain, living in a rented house near St Antony's School in Kazhakoottam. The child left the house upset because her mother scolded her when he quarrelled with his siblings. Anwar Hussain responded to the media that he was happy that his daughter has been found.
