Vigilance conducts flash inspection on roads, collects sample

road

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The vigilance has conducted flash inspections on the roads of various districts of the state. The inspection is being conducted on the roads, which were built in the last six months. Initially, inspections will be held on those roads where there are complaints about defects in construction, said the officials. The inspections are conducted as instructed by vigilance chief Manoj Abraham.

The vigilance team will cut a small portion of the road using a special machine and the sample of it will be sent to the lab for testing in order to find out whether the road has been rebuilt with enough metals and the right amount of tar after removing the earlier mud and dirt. The vigilance will take further action in this regard after receiving the lab report.
