Vijay Babu will be arrested as soon as he returns from abroad; police to question people including actress who helped him

KOCHI: Actor and producer Vijay Babu will be arrested, as soon as he returns to the state, in the sexual abuse case of the actress, said Kochi city police commissioner C H Nagaraju. This will be possible as there is a lookout notice issued against him. Those who helped Vijay Babu will also be questioned, he said.

The police will also question the actress who had delivered two credit cards to Vijay Babu via Nedumbassery airport to Dubai, as he ran out of money abroad. It has been reported that the actress had asked the complainant to withdraw her complaint. The police will question the actor in order to find out about it.

Vijay Babu has submitted a copy of his return ticket for May 30 via his advocate in the court. The move was after the court said that his anticipatory bail plea will be rejected, if he fails to show up. Meanwhile, the survivor has filed a plea against Vijay Babu’s anticipatory bail petition. The actress demanded that a situation in which the accused decides on the bail matters, should be avoided and that he should not be granted bail.

Meantime, additional prosecution director general Gracious Kuriakose told the court that the accused, who fled from the law, would be caught in any case and all available means would be sought.
