Youth administered anesthesia for surgery dies in Chalakudy Thaluk Hospital

THRISSUR: A youth, who was administered anesthesia for a surgery, died following cardiac arrest. Sineesh (34), son of Siddharthan of Kodassery was administered anesthesia Friday morning for hernia operation at Chalakudy Taluk Hospital. Sinish, who was allergic to anesthesia, suffered a heart attack.

Sinish was later shifted to a private hospital, but he suffered another heart attack and died. His relatives said that legal action will be taken in the incident. He was admitted to the taluk hospital yesterday. He suffered a heart attack here and was shifted to St Jain Hospital. Since there was no ambulance in the taluk hospital, an ambulance was brought from outside and then shifted him to Jain Hospital. He was admitted to the hospital's casualty at 10 am, but he died at 10.55 am. He leaves behind his wife Pournami and children Anaswara (7) and Akarsha (3).
