Youth arrested for movie style robbery inspired from Pubg game and films

KOZHIKODE: A former employee was arrested for cinema style robbery held at a petrol pump in Kozhikode. 22-year old Malappuram native Sadhique is the accused who was arrested for robbing Rs 50,000 after throwing chilly powder at employees and then tying them up. The incident took place at 1.40 am on Thursday. The accused, who was addicted to Pubg game considered scenes from movie 'Dhoom' as an inspiration. He even used similar costumes.

Sadhique quit the job three weeks ago. He could not be identified in any visuals as he had covered his face and he also used racing gloves to not give any fingerprints. The accused was arrested in an investigation led by Narcotic cell ASP A J Johnson. Sadhique's luxury life after the robbery created suspicion. He confessed that he did the robbery to pay loan amount of his bike.
