KOLLAM: Sujin, younger brother of Midhun, who was electrocuted in school yesterday, shared the memories of his brother. He said, 'My elder brother went to school yesterday asking me to keep something for him to eat in the evening. When I was in school, my grandparents came to pick me from school. My brother wanted to join the army,’ Sujin told a media.

The accident occurred Thursday morning at 9.15. Midhun, who reached school after tuition, was playing with his classmates in the classroom. Meanwhile, his classmate's slipper fell on top of the cycle shed. Midhun was electrocuted when he went to take it from there. When he slipped, he caught the three-phase low-tension power line which was lying low.

Hearing the screams of his classmates, the physical education teacher rushed to save him but was helpless. With the help of more teachers, Midhun was separated from the line using a bench. He was immediately taken to the Sasthamcotta Taluk Hospital, but died.

Midhun is the eldest son of Manu and Suja of Vilandhra. Suja is abroad. She was informed of her son’s death via a video call. Suja will return home tomorrow. His body will be laid to rest after that.
