THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Biju Xavier, owner of the lodge in Mundakayam, came to the fore reacting in the Jasna James missing case. A former employee of the lodge had revealed to a private channel that a girl resembling Jasna was seen at the lodge in Mundakayam days before she went missing. Biju said that there are various cases against the former lodge employee and the revelations about Jasna would be a revenge for it.

‘A case was filed against me the other day for calling her caste name. It is a non-bailable case. He said that she demanded Rs 5 lakh and a house for withdrawing it. An information rights activist is behind it. The enmity of it is behind the revelation. She mentioned me as a murder case accused in the court. The court examined it and granted me bail. This is a revelation aimed at me because what she intended did not happen.

Willing to cooperate with any inquiry. A CCTV has not been installed in the lodge. There are only eight rooms in total. Jasna has not come here. The crime branch questioned me in connection with the investigation. My phone calls were also examined. The employee's disclosure is personal enmity. She said that if I failed to pay Rs 5 lakh and a house, my lodge will be closed and that she would eliminate me. I have the records of it.

It is a revenge for terminating her from the lodge due to her bad behaviour. She used to accept money from people staying in the lodge. Hooliganism was her method. She was also questioned in connection with Jasna's disappearance. I never threatened her not to reveal anything about Jasna's visit. It is a fabricated story,' said the lodge owner.

She said, ‘Recognized Jasna from the picture published in the newspaper. Saw her at 11.30 am. She was slim and fair. Her hair was tied up. She was wearing a rose colored churidar. She said that she came to write a test and was waiting for her friend. A strange youth came in the afternoon and took a room. Both left the room at 4 pm. Their room number was 102. The youth was also fair and slim,' said the former employee. She also said that the CBI had not questioned her about this.
