THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The CPM is trying to defend itself against the protests against Minister Sivankutty, both inside and outside the Assembly, in the Assembly ruckus case. As a first step, the party has decided to stage LDF-led protests on March 3 and 5 demanding an end to false propaganda and unwanted protests against the minister.
The protests will be held in the Nemom constituency on August 3 and in the entire Thiruvananthapuram district on August 5. CPM district secretary Anavoor Nagappan said in a statement that five people each will take part in the protests that will be held at five centers in the Gram Panchayat wards and 15 centers in the Corporation wards from 5 pm to 6 pm. He stated that the protests will be organised with adherence to Cpvid protocol.
