padmaja-venugopal-

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A solution has been found on the disputes related to KPCC reorganization. A decision has been taken not to appoint any of the former DCC presidents’ as office bearers. However, Padmaja Venugopal has been granted exemption in this regard. The leadership who did not give any concession to M P Vincent and U Rajeev did not consider Bindu Krishna.

Vincent and Rajeev were able to serve as president only for a year last time. That is why the KPCC leadership decided to give them a concession. However, there was strong opposition within the party. Following further discussions, the leadership backtracked on its decision to grant concessions to the two. Meantime, former Thiruvananthapuram district panchayat president Ramani P Nair and Mahila Congress leader Fathima Rosna will become general secretaries.
