LDF Govt is making Kerala a state where women and children cannot live, says K Surendran

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP state chief K Surendran said the chief minister by protecting Minister A K Saseendran, who tried to save NCP leader from a case of sexual harassment, is insulting the victim. In a statement released, he said they are proving that Pinarayi Vijayan and the government are with the hunters. The chief minister protecting the minister, who violated his oath is a disgrace to the democracy in Kerala. Saseendran should resign immediately. If not, the chief minister should show the enthusiasm for his expulsion.

It is a shame for Kerala after the girl said that she did not get justice from the chief minister. The CPM’s stand of let the NCP probe the case where a minister intervened to settle the case, is a challenge to the judicial system of the country. The CPM had earlier settled many harassment cases of the party through such investigations. Then what for is the police and the court if the NCP is investigating, asked Surendran. The CPM is trying to implement cell rule by making constitutional institutions a scarecrow.

The Left government is making Kerala a state where women and children cannot live. What happened in Valayar and Vandiperiyar is being repeated all over Kerala. If Saseendran does not resign, the party and its allies will lead a strong protest, said Surendran.
