THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Everything shown by the chief minister in connection with the gold smuggling case, involving Swapna Suresh, are petty tricks, said the opposition in the assembly. The issue was raised in the adjournment motion by N Samsudheen MLA. The chief minister is confident even when everything has collapsed and all the evidence are against him. Despite all of this, he did not resign and that is due to lack of political morality, alleged Samsudheen. The chief minister claimed to be a man who walked among swords, but now walks with one policeman per metre, he scoffed.

Meantime, Minister Saji Cherian alleged that Samsudheen had raised personal insults against the chief minister. As a point of order, Saji Cherian said that according to rule 132, no unnecessary matters should be raised in the assembly and the reference should be removed from the house record.
