Second generation should take up responsibility of cleansing Congress; election defeat should be reviewed in presence of central leaders, says Shanimol Usman

ALAPPUZHA: Shanimol Usman, the UDF candidate said there has been no organizational flaw in the election defeat in Aroor. However, she blamed the leadership for not convening a meet to assess the elections even after a month. The election defeat should be reviewed at the earliest in the presence of central leaders, she said.

The leaders should explain to the activists what the leadership has learnt from the major debacle faced in the panchayat elections. The party has not received support on issues raised by the opposition leader for a long time. I don’t know whether the KPCC or panels appointed by the KPCC have visited the offices of party candidates. None have visited my office, she said.

The political style of suppressing those opining in the party is unacceptable. She said the second generation should take up the responsibility of cleansing the party.
