Suresh Gopi backs govt, says they have good sense, CM need not answer for everything

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP MP Suresh Gopi came to the fore justifying government's approach in the narcotics jihad controversy. The government has a good sense. They are doing everything that has to be done. The chief minister need not answer for everything, Suresh Gopi told media.

‘The government has a good sense. They are doing everything that has to be done. The chief minister and other ministers have understood things very well. Let them do something. If it is against the national interest, then can blame. National interest is important and most important is the interests of the citizens of the country. Should the chief minister come and answer everything? The chief minister is not a politician. He needs to preserve the glory of his chair. He needs to do that, should he say? ' asked Suresh Gopi.

The chief minister's response to the controversial statement of Pala Bishop was that the government does not have to respond to the statements of those in responsible posts.

The opposition had alleged that the government was not intervening to end the controversy related to Pala Bishop. The government did not consider opposition’s demand to call an all-party meeting.
