Temple priest gives flowers, CM Pinarayi Vijayan offers it in tray, visuals go viral

TELANGANA: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan received the flowers given by the temple priest and then offered it on the tray. The incident happened during a meeting of opposition parties led by Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekara Rao. The meeting of opposition parties was as part of their entry into national politics. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, who keeps a distance from the rituals in Kerala, did not make it an issue in Telangana, but the BJP had come forward criticising the act.

Apart from Kerala Chief Minister, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav, CPI national general secretary D Raja and other leaders attended the function signalling the unity and strengthening of the opposition.

The mega rally was organized with the goal of preparing the ground for an anti-BJP alliance ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and forming a third front as an alternative to the BJP and the Congress. Before reaching Khammam, KCR, Kejriwal and Akhilesh Yadav visited the Yadagiri Gutta temple.

Kejriwal said unemployment or rise in prices of essential goods is not an issue for the Prime Minister. His focus is on bringing down non-BJP governments. The Prime Minister is creating obstacles through the governors in states of Punjab, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Telangana. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Akhilesh Yadav said that if we stand together, can take the country forward through a progressive agenda, saying that the youth of the country need jobs. The mega rally concluded with Chandrasekhar Rao's speech.
