'What led to the downfall of KSU in the campuses of the state?'

Minister V Sivankutty on Wednesday challenged KPCC president K Sudhakaran by asking him to name at least one KSU activist who was murdered by SFI activists. In his Facebook post, the minister alleged that Congress, the Youth Congress and the KSU had tried to poison the public consciousness.

'I am challenging KPCC president K Sudhakaran to name at least one KSU activist who was killed by SFI activists on campus.

Sudhakaran said that hundreds of KSU activists have been martyred in the education sector in Kerala. Sudhakaran is the king of big lies.

SFI is a movement that has lost 35 brave comrades. Twelve of them were killed by Youth Congress-KSU activists. As a person who had served as SFI president, secretary and all India joint secretary, I can clearly say that the Congress, the Youth Congress and the KSU have tried to poison the public consciousness of the people.

Sudhakaran's party has the tradition of turning Fort Kochi native Murali, who died due to health problems, into a martyr. Sudhakaran should remember that it was the KSU activists who had beaten up and killed KSU magazine editor Puthiyaveetil Basheer in 1990 at Mattannur Pazhassiraja NSS College. The blue flag of the KSU used to fly high in the colleges of the state four decades ago. However, it was the violent politics of the KSU that led to the organisation's downfall in the campuses,' Sivankutty wrote.
