Centre must refrain from imposing fascist policies that undermine trust, Malayalees will keep Lakshadweep close to their heart, says director

salam-bappu

Director Salam Bappu came forward against Lakshadweep administrator Praful K Patel’s dictatorial actions. He came to the fore through a Facebook post. His post said the centre should refrain from imposing fascist policies that undermine trust.

The director said the government is secretly encroaching on the identity and culture of the people of Lakshadweep and that the Malayalees will keep Lakshadweep near to their heart like a district in Kerala.

Lakshadweep is a beautiful place that I love so much and so are their people. A total of 36 islands. Only 11 islands like Kavaratti, Kalpeni, Kadmat, Kilthan, Andrott, Amini, Minicoy, Chetlat, Bitra, Agatti and Bangaram are inhabited. If you travel by ship from Kochi and Kozhikode can reach this place in a day. A lot of people depend on Kerala for education and so on. In Kerala, especially in Malabar, there are many blood relations.
