THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: As the controversy over halal food continues in Kerala, John Brittas MP has responded to the issue. John Brittas says in his post shared on Facebook that despite the controversy over halal in Kerala, the Sangh Parivar might not know that the food in the Parliament canteen is still halal. "I heard the word halal for the time in Parliament when I came to Delhi as a journalist. The question was whether the food provided in the Parliament canteen was halal. The then Minister replied that halal food is being served. It still continues", Brittas said.

Society matures when given the opportunity to freely choose the food, dress and language of choice. Hitler turned to racism by criticizing the Kosher diet of the Jews. He also wrote on Facebook that the Sangh Parivar sees food, language and dress in India today as tools to create division and polarization.
