Did a driver attend duty in religious attire without wearing uniform? KSRTC comes up with explanation

bus

KSRTC has responded to a report which claimed that a KSRTC employee was seen driving a bus in religious attire without wearing a uniform. It was found in the vigilance investigation that the image, circulating on social media, was misleading.

The KSRTC had launched the vigilance probe soon after it noticed that the image was being circulated. Following this, it was found that some persons took the picture of PH Ashraf, a driver of the KSRTC Mavelikkara unit, while he was on duty and spread it in a misleading way.

Officials who conducted an inquiry found that driver PH Ashraf had attended duty wearing the proper uniform. They also found that Ashraf had spread a large cloth over his lap to prevent his pants from getting dirty during work. This cloth made it look like he was wearing a thobe. KSRTC stated that one will be able to see that Ashraf was wearing a sky blue shirt and navy blue pants if one zooms in on the image.
