Communication link established with lander; ISRO releases first images taken before landing on moon
NEW DELHI: ISRO has released images from the Chandrayaan-3 Vikram lander that landed on the moon. The images captured by the Lander Horizontal Velocity Camera were released. ISRO shared the images that were sent while the lander descended to the lunar surface on Twitter (X). Communication was established between the lander and MOX-ISTRAC at Bangalore.

ISRO tweeted the first message after Chandrayaan 3 landed on the moon. The message was 'India, I reached my destination and you too!': Chandrayaan-3'. The successful soft landing of Chandrayaan 3 was at 6:04 pm Indian time. The soft landing mission started at 5:44 pm. With the success of the mission, India has become the first country to land on the South Pole of the Moon. India became the fourth country to land on the moon.
