Picturesque maple land to terrorist bastion; the change India foresaw

Terrorists are inimical to mankind. Those who abet terrorism are no better. Hardeep Singh Nijjar was one such Khalistan activist who lived in Canada and spearheaded subversive activities in India. Very soon, India declared him a terrorist and in no time unknown assailants shot dead Nijjar in Canada in June 2023. Since then, Canada's Justin Trudeau government has been accusing the black hands of Indian agents behind Nijjar’s murder. Canada has not yet been able to present any credible evidence to the world to prove this.

Every minute of their life, terrorists await death. It can be in one form or another. They are bound to be eliminated for the betterment of mankind. Canada’s accusation would have sounded sensible if Trudeau had submitted any credible evidence to prove right his blame on Indian involvement in Nijjar murder. Hitherto, Canada has been skittering away from submitting any evidence in this regard.

Right after the killing, Nijjar’s followers blatantly blamed India for the murder. Nobody cared. But Canada accusing Indian involvement in the killing can’t be considered in the same light. It weighs more significance and India had to respond abruptly. The Sikh community in Canada is dominant in terms of wealth. The majority have Canadian citizenship and voting rights. The Trudeau government has adopted a policy of appeasing them with an eye on this vote bank. Most recently, they alleged that Indian High Commissioner Sanjay Verma and other Indian diplomatic officials were involved in Nijjar's murder.

For many years, India has been warning Canada about the rise in extremism in the North American country. It seems like India’s words are finally ringing true as the extremists have wriggled into the power circle and successfuly turned a promising young prime minister into a puppet. Canada is effectively supporting terrorism and violence against India. The Ministry of External Affairs of India has stated in a press release that Canada is trying to belittle and slander India under the guise of the Nijjar murder investigation.

India's High Commissioner to Canada, Sanjay Verma, is a senior diplomatic officer with 35 years of distinguished service. The Indian government has dismissed all accusations Canada raised against Verma. India’s slow emergence as a global power and PM Modi’s contagious popularity have wobbled the Trudeau government to a large extent. It is an open secret that Canada is turning against India in the diplomatic shadow of the US. Yesterday, US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller publicly said that India is not cooperating with Canada in the investigation into Nijjar's murder.

Terrorism is a threat and Canada will soon transform from a picturesque maple land to a ground of bloodbath and anarchy. Then, the world will acknowledge India’s words.
