Film director Ram Gopal Varma goes into hiding; Hyd police issue lookout notice
HYDERABAD: A lookout notice has been issued against film director Ram Gopal Varma for sharing a defamatory post against Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on social media. Police are still searching for the director in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.
A few police officials are in front of RGV’s house in Hyderabad waiting to nab the director in case he turns up. RGV earlier posted a morphed picture of Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan on his social media. Taking offence over the post, a person named Ramalingam filed a complaint against the popular film director. The police registered a case and summoned Ram Gopal Varma to appear for questioning.
The director's phone is currently switched off. It is reported that Ram Gopal through his lawyer informed that he can appear virtually for the interrogation. Earlier, RGV moved High Court requesting more time to appear before police for questioning. This petition was rejected which took away all roadblocks for the Police to issue a lookout notice against RGV.
