Along with her, the vice president and 5 other standing committee members have decided to quit. Talks run that it is due to the discordance with sports minister V Abdu Rahman that forced Mercy Kuttan to give away her president seat.
Mercy Kuttan has earlier coaxed the government publicly to bring more amendments to better the facilities provided to Olympic aspirants in the state. Mercy took office as KSSC chief after the end of TP Dasan's tenure in 2019.
