Stalking foreign tourist on beach, taxi driver arrested in vizhinjam

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A taxi driver was arrested in Vizhinjam for attacking a foreign women tourist. Sheeluvayan was arrested on this issue that happened on Thursday near the Adimalathura precinct in Vizhinjam. The foreign tourist was sauntering on the beach while the assailant and five of his cohorts followed her and tried to touch her inappropriately. A resort staff who saw the abominable act tried stopping but was treated with punches and slaps from Sheeluvayan and the group. The tourist during her early days in the city traveled in Sheeluvayan's taxi. The culprit befriended her and secured her mobile number in this short car journey. Later on, abuses and sexually toned talks flooded her inbox which the tourist ignored perfunctorily. But the creepy nature of Sheeluvayan took another hue after he decided to follow her with an intention of abuse. The police are going strong in their search for the others involved in the crime. Sheeluvayan was later released on conditional bail.
