State-wide police action; ‘Operation Aag’ strengthened, hundreds of goons arrested in various districts

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Widespread action is being taken against goons in the state. The action is part of Kerala Police's Operation 'Aag'. The police arrested many criminals in different districts and have registered cases against them.

The police arrested 113 people in Thiruvananthapuram city limits. Apart from this, 184 people were arrested in Thiruvananthapuram rural as well. 85 goons including 18 warrant accused were arrested in Kozhikode city alone. In Kottayam, police detained more than 100 people, including five people who were deported under Kappa. Police took action against 81 people in Pathanamthitta and 85 in Kasaragod. Police action is likely to be extended to other places in the coming days. Action was also taken against the police officers for having links with goons.
