JAIPUR: An FIR has been registered against controversial yoga guru Baba Ramdev for his provocative speech. The FIR was registered against him for making remarks inciting rivalry between religious groups during a program held in Rajasthan's Barmer district.
An FIR was registered at the Chouhattan police station following a complaint by Pathai Khan, a resident of the area. Baba Ramdev has been booked under Sections 153A, 295A and 298 of the IPC for attempting to incite rivalry between the two groups on the basis of religion and caste and doing deliberate acts intended to hurt religious sentiments.
During a program held in the district on February 2, Baba Ramdev compared Hinduism with Muslim and Christian religions. Ramdev's statement that the Muslim sect is moving towards terrorism and kidnapping Hindu women was controversial.
