YC intensifies protest against fuel cess; marches to assembly, burns vehicle

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The youth congress has intensified protests against fuel cess. The activists staged a marched to the assembly. Meanwhile, a two-wheeler was brought and burnt at the protest site. The police used water cannons.

The march started from Martyrs Column in Palayam. Meantime, the opposition continues their strike in the assembly. Four MLAs started a satyagraha at the entrance of the assembly. Shafi Parambil, C R Mahesh, Mathew Kuzhalnadan and Najeeb Kanthapuram are on a satyagraha.
