Car with MLA board loses control in busy Bengaluru road, kills 2

BANGLORE: A car belonging to BJP MLA rammed into the public space killing two in the commotion. the incident took place on Nrupatunga Road in Bengaluru on Monday. Majeed Khan, 36, a resident of HBR Layout; and Ayyappa, 60, a resident of KG Halli are the slain victims. The car belonged to BJP MLA H Halappa Harathalu, and during the crash, a relative of the MLA was driving the vehicle. Four others were injured in the accident and were quickly shifted to a nearby hospital. The police identified the driver as Mohan and immediately made his arrest. According to the driver's version, he tried applying the brakes at the signal but slipped further pedaling the accelerator, resulting in this mishap.

Halappa Harathalu is an MLA from Sagar in Shivmogga. At the time of the accident, the MLA was not present inside the vehicle.
