PSC surprises job seekers, publish rank lists in excess of 250 in three weeks

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM; The Public Service Commission (PSC) has surprised job seekers by publishing more than 250 rank lists in three weeks, including merit lists and final lists. The candidates' hope is that this speed and efficiency will also be there in the preparation of advice memos for appointments.

The publication of the merit list of the preliminary examinations for more than a hundred posts with basic qualification up to the 10th standard conducted in six phases is progressing at a fast pace. The direction is to publish the list of all the posts by February. Results for Company/Corporation Last Grade, Village Field Assistant, Bevco LDC (post-change) etc. have been published. Most of these are merit lists after preliminary public examinations. PSC isn't a name synonymous with timely notifications, the publication of lists and the announcement of exam dates. Under the supervision of the chairman, the interest shown by the PSC members who hold the post of chairman of the sub-committees and in-charge of the districts has brought about a significant change in the functioning of the commission. The PSC, which usually announces the exam date and syllabus two to three months in advance, announced the date and syllabus of the main exam before the results of the public preliminary exam. Announcing the exam date and syllabus seven to eight months in advance is more helpful for the candidates.
