KOCHI: A setback for actor Unni Mukundan in the case of insulting womanhood. The high court removed the single bench's order staying the trial proceedings by giving a false affidavit in the court. Controversial lawyer Saibi Jose Kidangoor appeared for Unni Mukundan. Justice K Babu observed that it was a serious mistake to mislead the court by giving a false affidavit in the name of the victim.

Saibi Jose gave an affidavit in the court at the main phase of the case. Saibi Jose convinced the court that the victim is ready to settle the case and the proceedings of the case should be stayed until it is completed. However, the victim approached the court stating that this was false. The court asked Unni Mukundan to submit a detailed affidavit.
