MUMBAI: Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant, who was seriously injured in a car accident, has started walking on his own. He took to social. media to share the picture of him walking with the help of crutches.
After suffering injury to his knee in the accident on December 30, the player underwent knee surgery on January 7.
Rishabh Pant was injured in a car accident in Haridwar on the Delhi-Dehradun highway. The car, after hitting the divider, slid to the other side of the road, burned down completely. He miraculously survived the accident.
Rishabh Pant was initially admitted to a hospital in Dehradun. From there he was airlifted to a hospital in Mumbai. The player's treatment was done under the supervision of the BCCI medical team.
It is reported that Pant will undergo another surgery on his leg within a month. He is set to miss the upcoming IPL season as a date for his return to cricket can't be determind now.
