NAGPUR: A fantastic fifer from R Ashwin helped India comfortably beat Australia on the third day of first test match Australia. After taking a lead of 223 runs in the first innings, India bowled out the Aussies for 91 runs in the second innings and won the match by an innings and 132 runs.
Earlier today, the third day, India started batting with a score of 321 runs for the loss of seven wickets with Ravindra Jadeja (66*) and Axar Patel (52*) at the crease. After losing Jadeja with score at 328, Mohammad Shami joined Axar and guided India to 400.
With the win in the first Test, India have taken a 1-0 lead in the four-match series. India took a lead of 223 runs against Australia in the first innings. Ravindra Jadeja was selected as the man of match for scoring a half-century (70) and taking seven wickets in two innings.
