Congress to 'hold hands' as continuation of Bharat Jodo Yatra from today, Rs 138 challenge during house visits to raise funds

KOCHI: Hath Se Hath Jodo Abhiyan campaign, a booth-level home visiting program announced by AICC as a continuation of Bharat Jodo Yatra, has been launched. AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal inaugurated the state-level program at 7 am today at Ernakulam Vaduthala. In the presence of the leader of opposition VD Satheesan and KPCC President K Sudhakaran MP, the inauguration day house visit will start from Augustine Nediyathara road near Vaduthala bridge, visit houses along boat jetty road via IJ John road and conclude with breakfast. Booth-level home visits are scheduled till February 24. MPs, MLAs, KPCC, DCC office bearers, etc will participate in the house visit program. The second phase of the program will also be organized from February 25 to March 21 under the leadership of block constituency committees.

The visit will be with leaflets to create awareness about the wrong anti-people policies of the central and state governments. The house visit is to awaken public sentiment against the central and state governments and to keep the spirit of the Bharat Jodo Yatra alive. Along with this, the house visit also aims to win the Rs 138 challenge organized by KPCC on the occasion of the 138th birthday of the Congress party. The inauguration of KPCC's fund collection scheme Rs 138 Challenge will be held at the Ernakulam DCC office today afternoon.
