CHENNAI: Fourteen years after the killing of LTTE chief Velupillai Prabhakaran, Tamil Nadu politician P Nedumaran has revealed that Prabhakaran's death was a hoax as the Former LTTE chief is still alive. "With the fall of the Mahinda Rajapaksa government, there is no security threat, so the statements are revealed," informed Nedumaran.
'LTTE chief is alive. I am revealing these details with his knowledge. But I will restrict myself from revealing his current location. Even his family has permitted me to reveal this to the public. My family has been keeping in touch with Prabhakaran all the while” said P Nedumaran who is the president of the World Tamils Confederation.
Prabhakaran was a prime accused in the assassination of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi in a suicide bombing at Sriperumbudur in 1991. The Sri Lankan army declared Prabhakaran dead on May 18, 2009. Later, his lying corpse with bullet wounds also surfaced for public viewing. The army even shared photos of Prabhakaran's son Charles Anthony who was executed. Charles was aged 12 at that time.
