‘I am happy that Congress accepted what I said 14 years ago, that is the reason why many companies invested in other states’, says Shashi Tharoor

ADOOR: Shashi Tharoor MP said that he is happy that the Congress party has come back to its 14-year-old stance on hartal. “Hartals hold back development. Many companies that came to invest in Kerala went to other states because of the hartals here.”, he said. He was inaugurating the seminar organized on the occasion of the inauguration of the office of P Rajan Pillai Foundation Gadhika Charitable and Cultural Organization on the topic 'Think India Thank Tomorrow'.

He asked how the country can be led in the name of Hindutva. “I have strong concerns about the future of the country, where arguments such as Hindu rashtra and Hindi rashtra are being raised.”, he added.

Vazhuvelill Radhakrishnan presided over the function. The office was inaugurated by Anto Antony MP, the library was inaugurated by Dr Zacharias Mar Aprem Metropolitan, the DCC President Prof Satish Kochuparambil inaugurate the Karunyam treatment scheme and the state vice president of e Youth Congress KS Sabarinathan unveiled the photo. Former DCC Presidents P Mohan Raj, Babu George, KPCC Policy Making Committee President JS Adoor, Jayan B Thengamam and G Priya spoke at the event. Shashi Tharoor presented Dr P Rajanpillai Social Service award to Punalur Somarajan.
